An Explanation
I feel as though an explanation is necessary, because while this blog may be primarily about comic books and music, I feel as though it’s necessary for me to occasionally put down a post about something else I’m very passionate about: hair.
My own hair is somewhat difficult to work with. It’s incredibly fine—meaning it’s very thin and doesn’t have a lot of body—and with just enough curl at the ends to be mildly frustrating. I mean, I don’t want it to just be flat, and curtain-y and emo (I’m blonde, so that doesn’t work anyway), but I also don’t want it to be an utter crow’s nest. I’m still searching for the right products to use to get it exactly the way I want it.
I’m not sure what my exact obsession with hair is, or when it started, or why, but I really love hair. A discerning taste in hair should be taught in every single school. The government should subsidize salons and specialty products and shit so everybody can look fucking *fine*. I’m pretty sure I could get the vast majority of the population to vote for a “Hair Beautification” bill. Public works programs? Fuck that. Give the people conditioner.
So while I love comic books and music more than is healthy, you *will* be getting posts about hair, hair products, my trials in dealing with my own hair (suggestions and pointers are always welcome), new styles/fashions, and really, anything having to do with that shit on top of our heads.
If you do not care about hair as much as I do, I understand. It’s for people like you that I created the tag pages up top (the Framed Fables link takes you to all things comic books and the Press Play link takes you to all the music), and while it makes me sad that you do are not a follicle-o-phile (TM pending), I understand. Feel free to still follow.
And with that, let the gushing over hair commence.
